I've recently been experimenting around with melatonin because it usually takes me around 1-2 hours to fall asleep and I'm already doing most of the stuff that is said to improve sleep (no stims, consistent bed time, no noise, whole food diet, limited blue light exposure, no meal before sleep...) Other sleep supplements failed at helping me (I've tried l-theanine, taurine, bacopa and ashwagandha)
So far melatonin has done wonders for me, I now fall asleep way faster and it allows me to get a full 8h of sleep every night. However, on the next day I feel fatigued when waking up. Usually I go through my 20-30min morning routine and then drive to the gym by bicycle but recently it takes me way longer to stand up, cycling isn't as enjoyable anymore and I started skipping the gym or cutting workouts short.
Is there anything I can do to prevent this fatigue? I don't really wanna drop melatonin because it's the only thing that worked for me
