Dopamine Beta-Hydroxylase Deficiency
Post Body

Okkkkkkkk so I thought I was just dealing with a couple of dodgy genes, take a few supplements and be right as rain!

But no, apparently if you carry 2 variants in the DBH gene (I am T/C but my son is T/T) then you 100% have Dopamine Beta-Hydroxylase Deficiency (I'm a "carrier" but could potentially also have it).

Prescription medication in the form of L-DOPS or DROXIDOPA seems to be the only way to directly supplement (treat) this condition.

Is that correct or can you still upregulate/kick up the ass the DBH gene into functioning better/properly/at all!?

I understand precursors, but if this is actually broken, it's like giving speed to a two legged dog and expecting it to run faster/at all!
