Few weeks ago on Twitter I saw a feed about baking soda significantly increasing endurance. I googled and saw that this seems to be actually legit and that some athletes do use baking soda to increase their performance. There are studies about it too.
Soo today I decided to try it to enhance my cardio session. Took one Tbsp (~14g) 60mns before workout.
What happened is that for the same setting as usual, I could do 20 more RPM on the bike. For the full 45 mns duration. And on top of that after the session ended my legs have not been hurting AT ALL. Usually they are definitely sore and that cause me to walk weirdly for some time but today I absolutely felt nothing.
That shit is real.
Edit: for the skeptical that can't even be half assed to do some research: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8427947/
Edit: for people who wanna jump in directly please make sure to use baking soda labeled for consumption. Dilute it in planty of water too. According to studies the minimum dosage to notice performance enhancement is 0.2g/kg of body weight. Also please be aware of the gastrointestinal side effects. (You may shit yourself)
