Does anyone know which hormone l carnitine effects?

I understand that it can lower thyroid hormones. Plus increase of LH AND FSH? However does anyone know specifically which other hormones in men it increases or decreases?
My thyroid levels are well in range but after stopping l carnitine supplimentation, which I took for a year, I've noticed increased in libido. This is the third time this has happened when I've stopped. However energyseems so low off it(even after a few weeks) I go back on.
