I've been taking correxiko 10,000mg hydrolysed marine collagen for a year now. This stuff is always clumpy. I had to pour boiling water over it and leave it for an hour till it dissolved. Only until recently I tried using whole and semi skimmed milk but still clumpy. Just sits on the surface and I still have to stir it and leave it for a while and it gets stuck to my spoon.
Just before I tried Hunter and Gather 10,000mg hydrolysed marine collagen and as soon as I poured milk over it, it dissolved right into it and I swigged it down. I didn't even have to stir it.
I checked both of their websites and correxiko says it's type 1, 2, 3 and 4 collagen peptides whereas Hunter and Gather just says type 1. I also reached out to both companies and asked what fish they use. correxiko says "wild-caught Canadian fish, specifically cod, haddock, and pollock." and Hunter and Gather said "wild-caught North Atlantic white fish"
Why were the textures so different? Is one more effective than the other? I just assumed all marine collagen peptides would be the same texture.
