Routine for depression and anxiety
Post Body

Hi all, excited to get any kind of insight into this... I have been suffering from depression, general and social anxiety and PTSD for many years now. I pursued TM as an aid and also some therapy. They both have been EXTREMELY helpful and broke me out of a negative spin cycle that's lasted for many years. However when I started taking 5-HTP to supplement these therapies the results have been over the top crazy good. I was so much happier, more productive, confident, affable... the way I feel I should have always been or close to. However after taking 5htp for a couple months straight I noticed that the effects kind of backfired and unwanted, unreasonable negative thoughts started to creep back in and sabotage my well-being. I realize that therapy and TM are perhaps the only real remedy for me, and they have been instrumental in getting me through the difficult patches but I was really soaring before on the supps. I went on a shopping spree after scouring reddit for ideas and got a bunch of Magnesium, L-Tyrosine, L-Theanine, and Bacopa and modafinil mostly from modafinia as potential candidates to create a good stack but I'm kind of confused and going down a bunch of research rabbitholes trying to put them together. Has anyone had experience using these? How do I stack them? How do I cycle? They are purported to work together, but how? How long should I stay off 5htp to allow seratonin to level? I'm I frying my noggin? Any insight would be very much appreciated! Thanks for reading.
