i wanted to make sure, and now i'm pretty sure after e4. damian was the spice in the food. you could tell what was missing from 1 > now 4.

the interactions and dialogue were always edgy, there was always verbal "sparring" - that's all gone. no chuck vs axe. no chuck vs wendy. no wendy and axe. no axe and taylor. axe was in everyone's face, from chuck to wags, and they all had their own way of parrying and thrusting. that in your face sparring has been replaced by a kind of waltz. the edgy dialogue is all ballroom dancing now. there's no bite.

first thing i noticed - wendy was not wearing her iconic, tight, hip hugging dress. now it's casual chic.

farmer chuck has no axe to fight, so now he's leading a community revolt against an old fart with a cannon

city chuck has no axe to fight, so he gathers folks in the street with an impromptu demonstration revolt

that's because aggressive axe has been replaced by passive mike. chuck is not going after a one nemesis ,,,,he's going after a whole gaggle of billionaires which dilutes the focus. this marks the end. when a series' has had it's run, it's last ditch effort is to broaden it's scope, quantity over quality. chuck versus axe is no longer

maybe the showrunners didn't want to copy axe versus chuck, and decided on another narrative. whatever the case, the spice is gone. it's tepid. the fight with axe was always personal, now it's not.

i like corey stoll but his character is not edgy,,,and now that sacker has changed sides is there going to be shift to politics as a theme - boring.

the ironic thing is, i've seen stoll play edgy and bad guys...he's damn good at it

6yrs is a good run. breaking bad had 5 and houseMD had 8. the showrunners ended the tale of axe and chuck in season5. s6 is more like an epilogue, and the best thing to do is to treat it that way and give billions a great ending - tie this baby is a nice bow and a lasting sendoff
