Just a thought...
The real pitch Bobby gave Dunlap was how he would take down Prince AFTER he becomes president. He told Dunlap to accept the VP so she would automatically become president after Axe takes Prince down.
It would be hard to squeeze impeachment into one finale episode, so it would have to be via resignation, which would trigger an instant transfer of power to Dunlap, as VP. Prince would have to be caught in a crime so horrendous and with all of his money in jeopardy, he would rather resign.
Bobby did say he could get her to presidency and he always keeps his word, right? It just has to be the most deviant way possible, while gleefully crushing his competitor.
With Prince's vulnerabilities all being exposed at once:
- Being exposed as a willing cuckold and possibly have the wife in on exposing that. Leaving him, taking part of his money.
- Going all to cash would have taken a significant hit to his wallet. It would also would open him to all sorts of legal troubles and hate by investors he took down with his decision.
- Recording of ppl without their concent, especially in upcoming meetings at Camp David is just a cherry on top.
But I could be wrong...
