Customer brought in a CargoWagon he ordered from out of state to get the first tune, front rack, and a Bosch Connect Module installed. In their infinite wisdom and love of proprietary parts, they made stupid big fascia pieces to cover the motor. Well, of course it interferes with the module.
When I called Cannondale, they said "We just have to list compatibility, the install is on Bosch." Well, when you add proprietary shit, it's on you Cannondale! I could dremel the piece on a $4500 bike, or have it rattle around in there. Everyone wants to make something different. All this for a stupid center console like a car.
Poor guy has to pay $500 on his new bike because Cannondale made some dumb decisions. The light was a nightmare, they told him it's got extra length in the frame! You just pull it out, bullshit! Had to drop the motor. This shit is getting ridiculous, we stopped a lot of internet brands to stay away from this bullshit!
I'm all for the switch towards E-Bikes and cargo E, more people on bikes and more business! But the brands have to not pull this garbage.
Glad I'm not a Cannondale Dealer and it's all paid work.
