Hi Folks 👋!
I’m a teacher in Louisiana and I’m looking for how to spend my summer. It’s the first summer in three years I’ve decided to not teach summer school because I’ve more than earned a break, plus Covid seems to be less concerning now that I’ve had my second booster.
I spent a week camping in Big Sur last summer on vacation and had a great time. I’d love to have a bit longer to explore and enjoy the area and I’d love to hear any recommendations, tips, warnings, or leads you might have.
I’m not looking to make a big profit, but ideally I’d like to break even on gas from New Orleans to Cali and back again. Jobs that provide housing and a meal or two each day would be best. I’m a middle school math teacher these days, but did a lot of customer service work in college (cashier, airport shuttle driver, parking attendant, retail, etc).
If anyone has any suggestions or great previous experiences I’d love to hear them!
