As someone currently about to move back to Honolulu, I have wanted to go to the island of Hawai'i for years and would like to shift there. The problem is, I don't quite have a job lined up, and the available housing for rentals seems to be very limited. I could secure a job, but I was wondering what resources other than Craigslist or rent.com I could use to find an affordable ($600/month or less) room for rent in/near Hilo.
Also, does anyone work at Walmart? I was curious as to how much they pay normal associates.
I have a lot of culinary/hospitality experience as well as some warehouse and driving.
You think I should get an AirBnB for a week and look around and go on interviews?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
