Hello, my name is Mark and I have been helping my friend Todd with RV repair and restoration. Apparently I am incredibly good (and sought after by his customers) to do the roof coatings for their RVs, but sadly he didn't have enough business to afford me full time, so I am back working at a "real job" here in South Dakota.
As someone who has lived on O'ahu and wants to return to Hawai'i, and doesn't want the noise, traffic, crowds or other annoyances of a city the size of Honolulu, I am instead looking to move to the Big Island next year.
My inquiry is that I want to have my own business or at least side hustle. As someone who cares about the quality of work I do (customers say I am the best they have had doing their roof coats, as others slopped the coating down the sides of their RVs and caused as much damage to the exterior of their RV as it cost to do the roof coat), I believe I have a skill set that might be in demand. I have seen that homes and other structures on the island may need roof coats, such as an aluminum roof, for example, but I am unsure of the demand. I know you don't have RVs there, stop typing.
For those of you in the know, is there room or a market for a skilled applicator of roof coatings?
Mahalo for your time and consideration.
