Anyone else wondering whether there were some budget cuts this season?
Post Body

For starters- it's literally the exact same set as last season minus a few additions (I will say the ball pit is my favourite thing in any BB house EVER) and some gratuitously placed foliage. I mean I get it, last season was cut so short unfairly, and it is a stunning set- but I think you'd be dumb to think that if they had the money that they wouldn't have built a brand new set along with a new concept/theme... I guess it could have just been because there simply wasn't enough time after it was finally confirmed back in November...

But on top of the house, the competitions have been SERIOUSLY lacking in a few ways. Most obvious is the lack of super sick and elaborate, almost movie-set quality transformation the back yard gets. Like you've been able to see the floor and the walls in every single one. Where in past seasons even simple Q&A comps got some crazy sets to accompany them. The lack of production in the comps has consequently made it so that the actual comps themselves have been kind of lame, and easy, and not that fun to watch... with that in mind I will note that these kinds of comps make it so that the houseguests who are maybe not super physically fit or not as agile as the barely legal children that always end up ruling the game. (And it has affected the game because players who normally wouldn't be able to gain power because of the demanding nature of the comps have been in control of the house pretty consistently this season) I wonder if any of this has to do with there not being anywhere near as many brand placements this year. We all know sponsors fund this shows almost 90% of the way. And it's cool, a win win situation for both BBCAN and the client. But with the exception of Wendy's there isn't a single brand this season that was involved in the past 8... is this covid related? Or maybe to do with all of the controversy that happened last season?

Those are my thoughts- what are yours?
