So, i am a british citizen thats currently in Aus (417 VISA - working holiday) and applied for an audit role in PwC (which i thought was permanent - I am an ex-big4 UK graduate) - cleared all the stages (HR, Manager and Partner) and received a verbal offer. But on the phone call, the Talent Acquisition manager said it would be a 6m contract, rather than a sponsorship visa (due to my working holiday visa - which only allows period of employment with any firm for 6m maximum before moving on)
So, i am bit confused as to what to do next? during all the stages, i asked and confirmed that this would be a permanent role (i.e. sponsored visa) and was told "Yes" but now i am being told it will only be 6m long contract (cos of my visa)?
What should i do? I am leaning towards accepting it and trying to find a sponsored role whilst being at PwC - but i am quite bewildered by the situation -
I mean i confirmed that it would be a permanent/sponsorship role at EVERY STAGE of the damn interview.....so disappointed
