Coming out - worth it?

Post Body

Hello! I posted a similar question in another sub but wanted to try here too. I recently discovered/embraced that Iā€™m bi and neither my husband nor I were surprised. It doesnā€™t change our monogamous marriage. When I decided to embrace this label, I was excited and wanted to tell friends. I told one friend and feel a little weird (like embarrassed?) about it. She was extremely supportive. My husband - since it didnā€™t feel like news to him - doesnā€™t really see why I would feel compelled to share. He also feels like people donā€™t have to ā€œcome outā€ - that itā€™s 2021 and people shouldnā€™t be assuming someoneā€™s sexuality in the first place. Iā€™m not sure why it feels important to me, or what my reason for telling friends would be. Iā€™m generally a pretty private person. Just looking for others who have maybe been in my shoes and decided it was, or was not, ā€œworth itā€ to share with others. Thank you :)
