Blurb: In Akinkunmi’s country, the color of one’s eyes decides their fate, something that hasn’t made life easy for him. Akinkunmi, a crimson-eyed youth, has always been at odds with society fighting against prejudice. Growing up in the capital city of the kingdom of Ethivaldan, He’s done everything he can to survive in the poverty-stricken slums. From lying and cheating to stealing and murder.  When he learns of his father and his gold-eyed bloodline, Akinkunmi gets the chance to prove his worth and fulfill his one wish: to gain his father’s love and the acceptance of his clan.  Akinkunmi’s wit and strength get pushed to the limits as he fights to remain alive at the edge of the Ethivaldan border. Surrounded by family members and foreign invaders that plot his death at every turn, victory is all that matters. Lest he loses his new home and the little bit of family he’s found. Akinkunmi will have to learn that blood isn’t always thicker than water.
