Best Buy screwed over their own hard working employees

My girlfriend and I work at Best Buy me: 2yrs and her year and a half, she was told a couple of weeks ago that there was going to be a customer service full time position open in the next coming weeks(she’s Customer service)and that she was on top of getting it for her outstanding work. When she was going through her interview they told her it’s actually a sales position. Well last week they released who got the full time positions and it was 2 seasonal workers who got the full time positions. I’m completely upset that they basically didn’t give it to her because they based their decision around how many BPs she has.

Is there a way anyway to go about this. The managers have always done this where the cut peoples hours and nothing because they didn’t get 1 BP a day and if you got more then 5 you get 40 hours
