There appear to be misconceptions on how emergency rooms are supposed to work and why they will send you away if they evaluate that your life is not in danger and you can walk out unharmed.
Emergency rooms/Notaufnahme are exactly that: EMERGENCY rooms. And they´re extremely understaffed and overrun. I dont find it curious at all that they sent them away. Thats what happens when you go there while your life & health is not at risk. Zhey have to prioritize. You can go there with a broken arm or minor bleeding and when there´s somebody with a heartattack/chestpain, they will always be prioritized and youll be given painkillers and sat down in the waiting room until there´s staff available.
When they see OPs life is not in danger and they´re fine enough to walk out and consult their general practicioner or the police, they will be sent away. I´m assuming a language barrier or misunderstanding as well. Usually one wont be mocked but just sent their way. OP was intoxicated and probably stressed or off the grid. ERs have to deal with much more dangerous stuff.
If OP were to press charges against an unknown person they would need to go to the police station a couple hundred meters from Berghain and file a report. Police will decide if they´re willing to call in an Amtsarzt to take blood samples. And of course Berghain staff will try to avoid calling authorities when there´s no life at risk. No one wants a raid. But, I dont know the procedures there.
Source for the ER stuff tho: Been there done that. Dated a Charité doctor and had lenghty conversations about exactly that topic with an ex´s ex who also worked as Notfallarzt in Notaufnahme. And a friend who visited Charité ER an a regular basis because of a failed kidney transplant and had plenty stories to tell...
They key word here is LIFE THREATENING!
