Finally figured out a homemade enchilada sauce close to the one from the Mexican restaurant of my childhood.
Post Body
The original was Sonora style, complex with many ingredients and they also used it for the chip dipping sauce. The enchiladas were served as an island of cheese in a lake of sauce....just don’t see that anywhere anymore.
