I was waiting my turn in check-out at the arts craft store. The couple in front of me were working with the shop lady (older, def over 60, had a walker-seat in her stall to support her) on some discount issue. When the mom was about to pay, she goes “where is my phone?” as she was holding it to have her coupons scanned from the app. The shop lady gave the heartiest laugh, I saw people turn to see what was so funny. She then went on to make jokes like “we should have two phones at home so we can call each of them!” I was chuckling when it was my turn to be checked out. Whatever grey clouds I had above my head disappeared in that observed interaction. I call myself lucky to witness, share and pass along that joy.
