Finally finding friends who are kind, understanding, compassionate makes me believe in true friendship again. The past two years Iāve focused on making new friends because I decided to cut out most people out of my circle. I have grown up surrounded by āmean girlsā and always considered them my friends but as Iāve grown up I slowly realized they were never my friends; theyāre consistently competing with you, making you feel insecure, feeding into your toxic relationships. Ive swayed away from that group and have focused on finding new friends. Iāve made a core group lately and yesterday I realized that. We were all going out and one of them was running late, instead of bad mouthing the girl that was running late we all just waited and then offered to pick her up since she couldnāt catch an Uber because the app sucks in our area. That small action I found to be so kind and sweet. That wouldāve never flew in my old circle, we wouldāve left bad mouthed the girl. No one competes with anyone, we all support and are helpful to each other when we can. Itās nice.
