On this morning's Snow Reporter's Update, they shared that the NWX lift's main motor is damaged and when it opens up, it will be running at a "slightly" lower run speed.
The whispers this fall was that NWX could be impacted this season due to a goof-up by the maintenance team over the summer that ran the chair backwards and damaged a few thousand feet of cable, which had to be spliced. Curious whether that accident could have contributed to the damage on the main motor.
Put your best guesses below for the actual "number of weeks" it will take to repair. Mine is 4, due to the vague timeline and how last season went down with Skyliner.

UPDATE: With ongoing snowfall, we will continue to open more skiable terrain as soon as we possibly can. The terrain off Summit and Northwest Chairs are close to having sufficient coverage to open. When Northwest Chair opens, it will be running on auxiliary power at 3 to 4 meters per second due to a fault in its main motor discovered during pre-operational checks. The only effect this will have on Northwest Chair is a slightly lower run speed. The main motor is expected to take a number of weeks to repair. Northwest Chair will still provide access to all open and available terrain on the west side of the mountain.
NOTE: Wind may affect our operations today. Keep an eye on our conditions page for updated lift status throughout the day. Happy holidays!
