Destination resort interests are some of the biggest contributors.
Here are the top contributors to Voters for a Transparent Deschutes County. Here’s some transparency on who's forking over the dough.
$2,000 - Deschutes County Republican Central Committee - A no brainer, they want less representation and all the power.
$1,300 - Mark Stockamp - He’s the attorney who represents the folks trying to turn 710 acres of Terrebonne farmland into fancy homes. He obviously wants the Commissioners in his pocket.
$1,000 - Triple C Farms, LLC - The owner, Matt Cyrus and his family have been trying to develop Aspen Lakes into a destination resort. Matt was on the planning commission and there were, “ethical concerns.”
$1,000 Werner for Oregon - E. Werner Reschke, Republican in the Oregon House. His district includes rural parts of DC. Thanks r/benditis He represents people in parts of Jackson and Klamath Counties. I guess his donors don’t mind him spending their money ouside the district.
$500 Philip Henderson - Ex Republican Deschutes County Commissioner.
$500 Robert Turner - Another player who is trying to turn Terrebonne farmland into housing for the rich.
The measure is supported by:

Full disclaimer, I’m retired and am one of the largest contributors to Represents Deschutes who is in favor of this measure. I have no business or political interest in Deschutes Co. I just want to see more minds making decisions for a county of over 200,000 people. This post is my personal opinion and was not done in coordination with the campaign.
