If you have been called for jury duty, beware of being targeted by scammers who seem to now be able to even fake the incoming phone number to appear that they are calling from the sheriff's office. They will state that you must post a cash bond (eg $4500) for not appearing for jury duty, or risk being arrested. They will seem to have a lot of information about you and the jury summons.
The state and county are aware. If you our someone you know receives the call, please do report the phone number to the Deschutes County Court.

Can confirm. I literally had to tell a friend to hang up the phone as she was getting sucked into this scam.
