Hey there,

Lately, I've been interested in giving crabbing a shot because my buddy in Tacoma has been talking to my about going with his wife and her family, but I'm not sure where to go in the Bellingham area to try. I've heard that some docks will allow you to crab off the side of the dock, but I wouldn't really be sure what docks to try that on. Or are boats preferable? I don't have a boat, are boats preferable? If so, can I rent one somewhere?

I know I'll need a license, a cage, some rope, and some bait but since I don't really know anybody in the area who goes crabbing, I'm at a loss when it comes to where to go. So, does anybody have any input?
