Hi there people, hope you're all having a nice day.
I've written a few of these in the past, which led to some lovely chats and encounters, but I have yet to find what I'm looking for, it would seem.
To put it simply, I'm a guy with many interests and a fulfilling life, but I do find myself wishing I'd meet a single woman who wants to share some of those interests with me. We'd probably start with some conversations where we see whether we click, as good friends since that generally feels like the first step to me, and eventually hanging out regularly in real life (so living in Belgium or very nearby in Europe would be preferrable, I'm not keen on long distance).
Opinions wise I'm a leftie, moderate in my opinion but probably extreme in the minds of people who love unsustainable growth, licking boots and tolerating intolerance (in other words, morons). Vegetarian, anti-authority, metalhead, and overall a bit of a chill goofball who makes nihilist jokes for a laugh but also does care a lot and is more of an existentialist. I don't smoke but I enjoy a drink, responsibly of course.
I guess I'm really just looking for someone to live a carefree life with, support each other, enjoy silly things (life became so much more interesting to me once I realized that as an adult, I can leave childish things behind, such as the desire to be always seen as a grownup. Seriousness can be good, but in moderation). Exchanging dad jokes and memes, going on spontaneous trips to go visit a castle, abbey or forest, building Lego, playing some chill co-op video games or boardgames, baking bread, stargazing and sipping on whiskey while discussing the meaning of life.
Also some bigger things that seem slightly more fun with a partner (although they're fun solo as well) such as going to music festivals (I'm probably doing three this year, already got my Graspop tickets) or going on city trips.
Maybe, eventually, living together or at least seeing each other very regulary; and while I don't mind travelling a bit to meet, ultimately I'm quite attached to Belgium, I own a cozy hobbit hole here and have a job that I don't hate. We could live in a cottage in the woods, do gardening together and adopt lots of pets.
As for what I bring to the table: I've been told that I'm a great cook and I'll happily make you some of my favourite veggie recipes such as mushroom pasta or spinach feta puff pastries. I'm patient, caring, cuddly, a good listener. Also a problem-solver at heart, probably better at solving my friend's problems than my own. Open and honest, and I get best along with people who speak their mind and give unambiguous enthusiastic yes and no's. Communication is awesome.
If you found anything relatable in my post, please message me and let me know what it was (orange envelopes, I probably won't see your chat, it's very glitchy), let me know a bit about yourself, and if we click then let's maybe have a voice call.
Either way, have a great day everyone.
