Barking / lunging at kids

Post Body

Hi all! Something I’m raising with my trainer the next time I see him but also wanted to get some opinions on here.

My almost 16 week old girl has always (and is continuing to) bark at kids. Doesn’t matter where we are, what the context is, what the kids are doing, she will start barking and lunging at them (even if they’re just walking past, not being erratic or approaching her). She sometimes does this with adults but appears to be selective - with kids it’s every one.

Our aim with her is for her to be neutral around everything - other dogs, adults, kids, etc.

If anyone has any tips / tricks that worked for them with their mal, that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
