Rainy Weather and Woodworking
Post Body

So I'm supposed to start a desk for a friend of mine this weekend. He's had the wood (black walnut) sitting in his office at home (where the desk will end up) for about 30 days now.

This weekend, however, it is supposed to rain the whole time, and into part of next week before clearing up for next weekend. Humidity (normally at 55% or so this time of year) is currently at 88%.

My questions are as follows:

Since my 'workshop' is my garage with no climate control, would it be better to wait a week before starting this (to avoid problems with wood movement in some of the glue-ups)?

Is this something I even need to worry about when it comes to woodworking or starting a woodworking project?
