So this weekend I am cleaning out the garage and setting up shop in hopefully a more organized and less cluttered place.
What is something you did organization or machine setup wise that really helped get your shop together and less hectic?
We moved into our house almost a year ago and I’ve tried to set up shop a few times and all the random house/garage stuff is in the way every time. This weekend I am cleaning it all out and working on setting up shop and machines to have more space and flow. I have a little bigger than a one car area and my main thing for organization is building an 8’ cabinet with all drawers. Above the cabinet will be hand tool storage or wall cabinet for hand tools.
I have my clamps in a good area where they are organized and mostly out of the way. I’ve built some upper shelves that run the long side of the garage for material storage and then the rest of the material is up in the attic. Is there something specific that you did that really helped bring the room together?
I eventually plan on building a small tablesaw/assembly table for my job site saw, getting my jointer put back together and in working order, rolling cabinet for planer and a stand for each the drill press and grinder. Also have a bench top lathe and bandsaw
