I feel like I've been working on this for a while, but I'm calling it done. We all have to at some point. Mistakes were made, but even more lessons were learned. Made of 1/2" maple faced ply with 1/4" dados and 18 gauge nails. I started the design in the Spring, measuring my tools and playing with a layout. I found a graph paper online for the drawing, and from that I came up with a cut list and material estimate. Cutting and building took about six weeks. Now, as long as it stays on the wall and in one piece I'll be happy and can focus on other things.
