Hey guys! We are getting our first bees in a few weeks and are in the process of getting everything set up. I have a couple of questions and would appreciate any input you have. The location my wife would like to put the hive is a few feet from our chicken coop, with the entrance facing away from the the coop. Do you think that is okay? Also, if she wants to paint the outside of boxes a pastel color instead of white, does that have a downside?
