What "liquid" water low temperature starts generating muscle paralysis in ordinary people who wants to try their first icebaths without assistance ?

I just want to know at what point it becomes dangerous to try to reduce water temperature around your body without other people to assist you and assuming a water thermometter is accurate for more or less than 1 degree celsius.
