Big landmark last night. About ten weeks in, over the past week I’ve been doing 11 min showers followed by sitting for five minutes in the collected water - water temp of around 52. Yesterday got into a local river for the first time for several minutes. I'm not sure what the water temp was, but probably colder than 52 - much smaller river than we draw our municipal water from. Slept out last night, got down to 28 degrees, and needed significantly less layering than I usually use. Slept much warmer. Yay. Here's a pic of blood returning to limbs after my first dunk in a local river. Am thinking about DIY cold bath. It's so beneficial: I'm starting to feel so good at times, my mood is becoming more resilient and my outlook more optimistic.
