Beauty gurus often showcase techniques that are considered 'glam' or otherwise over-the-top. But we know that trends often change, and change quickly. For example, old-school beauty gurus might recommend setting eyeliner with black eyeshadow, but most tutorials don't feature this so prominently anymore. More recently, color correcting was a huge trend, but it's since slowed down, and many tutorials don't feature gurus color correcting anymore, preferring to use Tarte Shape Tape instead.
Do you think that beauty gurus would be using these same techniques in five years? What could be considered 'good makeup' by beauty gurus in five years? And would beauty guru makeup looks still greatly differ from what regular people do on an everyday basis?
