In a recent sponsored post, Jackie Aina promotes and applies the new Olive June x Beats collab. She says the press on nails are easy to apply and last for two weeks. The final results, however, show nails that definitely don't fit and look messy (and there's no chance these would last two weeks). At what point is a sponsored post worth your integrity?

Serious q - how is this an integrity issue? They look terrible and make me want to avoid the product, but at least she didn't edit or filter out the actual end result. She's not even trying to downplay it in the comments, she's like yeah, this is how they look lol.

Maybe I'm just conditioned to assume influencers do what they can to toe the line of legality while using clever camerawork to hide imperfections in a sponsored product, but if Jackie wants to wear some sloppy looking nails in an ad and then double down on it to her followers, that's between her and Olive June - at least she gave us an honest representation.

True. I was thinking about it through the lens of deception/honesty in representation of the product but that's also a valid criticism and I wasn't tying that to the idea of integrity.

She posted the vid and is responding to comments about it.
