Pay Rates

For the last year I’ve been DJing in tiny clubs in Central America. The pay was crap, but it gave me great experience. Now I’m back in the US and am booking gigs. For small clubs/bars, I’m not sure what my pay rate should be. I have a gig this Friday out of town about 2 hours and have no idea what to charge. I’m thinking hourly vs flat rate. Any suggestions? I don’t want to screw myself over but I also don’t want to ruin potential professional relationships by giving a high number.
