I currently have 2 technics 1210s and a HAK 360 that I love very much but unfortunately is quite fucked after many years of use though still works just about well enough to practice on. I've got about 300 quid or so to spend on upgrading but I'm not sure what route I should go. At first, I was thinking about picking up the Traktor A6 kit, a couple of new faders and then upgrading the mixer later when I can afford it.
However, I came across the Behringer NOX404 and it has had rave reviews almost everywhere I look. I could probably get that, a cheap audio interface and control vinyl then download traktor but I'm not really sure about the mixer. It's about 5 times cheaper than my current mixer, although I suppose it would have the benefit of not being 6 or 7 years old.
I am a bit confused about which audio interface would work as well though, is it just any with phono preamps and at least 4 inputs and 2 outputs?
So which route would you go? Get the traktor a6 kit and upgrade my mixer later to something more trustworthy or get a cheaper mixer now and put the parts together for a DVS? I am open to other mixer suggestions also, not just the NOX404.
