Looking for inspiration for an open decks (-like) project
Post Body

Hi everyone,

I'm in the early stages of starting an open decks-like event.

Reason is similar to what often is the reason for open decks: giving people the opportunity to play on club-equipment and big speakers. Every 2 weeks on Sunday people would be able to reserve 1 hour slots during which they could come and jam, play whatever they want. Semi-publically, in theory other peopel could be able to join, realistically (from experience with such a concept in another city) people come, do their thing and leave. Something that's missing in the area where I'm from.

However, I've been wrecking my brain on a name for over a month.. and while a few decent contenders have come up... nothing that makes me go "Wow! That's it!". So I thought I'd search for some inspiration here, suggestions would be very welcome.

I do understand that this may seem lazy... I really don't mean for it to be, I've checked around for names, I've searched for and wide for names, had brainstorming sessions and the results have simply been quite disappointing so far. While a good name is not 'make or break', it helps with word of mouth. Anyhow, the best we've come up with so far:

The Beat Booth > It works... but we don't 'love' it.. in the local language it doesn't quite roll of the tongue to say "Are you going to the beat booth next week?".

BeatSquad > Short, and perhaps I'm overanalyzing but I find "squad" to be a lil... meh? We want to be open to anyone to come, squad feels more closed off, unapproachable if that makes sense.

Kind regards
