Early-Intermediate DJ feeling a plateau... help out?

Post Body

Aloha everyone, I've been DJing on my controller and CDJs since 2019. Shout-out DJ-University for introducing me to this world and supplying my first baby controller (Serato SB2). I curate queer nightlife dance parties, renegades, and will DJ for different venues/pop-ups. I recently went on the air with a friend of mine who is a stellar DJ (spinning like 2/3x a week for 4 hours), where as I only do it once a week or every two weeks.

I feel like I'm at this point where I want to expand and push myself to go beyond a 2track CDJ or controller, but fail every time I try to do 3 or 4... I feel like I'm in this comfortable zone mixing, beat matching, and all of that, however, I don't feel like I'm growing... if at all, I feel like I'm regressing. My main request is... how did all of you starting out, continue to push yourself and grow?

One thing that could help is looking at tutorials, but I haven't found any that work for me beyond beginner stuff. I'm thinking if I wanted to learn different transitions or how to mix three tracks... is there any step-by-step tutorials or people that offer that? How else can I continue to push myself? Do I simply just need to level up and buy some other gear, like a newer controller or a C/XDJ?
