What's your theory about Melon's dad?

SPOILER WARNING!

Don't click unless you've read the whole manga/don't mind getting spoilers.

After learning about the fact that Melon's dad actually WAS alive, how do you think he was able to get away?

Why did Melon's mom tell him she ate his dad if the dad is alive?

I got a theory about that: remember how Legoshi had thought he had eaten Haru even though it was just tomato juice (?) on the sheets?

What if something similar happened with Melon's mom? The father went to the black market, or asked a friend to bring a piece of gazelle's meat and a bag of blood. Then he'd use sleeping pills on the mom so she won't wake up when he spreads the blood around and puts the meat next to her and leaves.

She goes in shock after waking up and after some hesitation, she decides to eat rest of the meat because she didn't think it'd make a difference. If I remember right, Melon had "snapped" just a moment before he killed his mother. I'm not a psychologist, but I've heard rumours that traumatic events can unleash some mental problems/deseases. If the mother snapped when she thought she had eaten the man she loved (loved too much according to the dad) it'd give an interesting explanation on why she kept telling Melon she wanted to eat him, perhaps a bit similar thing that Riz had with Tem?

What do you guys think, is there any holes in my theory, or has someone already made a theory like this?
