Hey all. I'm designing the hardware/writing code for an automated enclosure system for reptiles and the like. Its essentially a system that will allow you to control lights, sounds, fans, heaters, and whatever else i want to do. The concept is for a future product.
I have some temp and humidity sensors and im thinking of how i want to program around them. My idea for now is have an adjustable set temp and humidity. Lets say i have temp set at 75 degrees and humidity set at 75%
If temp is above 75. It turns on the fans and cool off the enclosure.
If temp is below 75. It turns on the heaters heats it to 75.
If humidity is above 75%, it turns on fans.
if humidity is below 75% it turns on misters/fog machine.
My question is, do you guys use any kind of small dehumidifiers you use to keep your reptiles dry and humidity low?
As of right now ill have the same fans turn on for both temp being too high and humidity being too high. I could easily have it so the relay that turns on when the humidity gets too high is a separate one from the fans and instead turns on a small dehumidifier.
i am just curious if any of you actually do that to keep your pets dry or whats your go to method?
