Beard Growth Stagnant?

24 yo Asian American Male. 1st time growing out beard. On minoxidil 1-2 times a day. Visible hair growth seems to have stopped mid lower cheek. However, I see much shorter, thinner, nearly transparent hairs. Will these become as dark as the hairs that have grown so far? Besides minoxidil, anything else I can do to speed up process? People have said for an “Asian”, growth is pretty good
