I just got my swab kit in the mail today and swabbed! Marking this day by this post so that if I ever get a match, I can look back and see how long it took.

Also, when I was swabbing I actually swabbed too vigorously on one of them... Swab came away red-tinged, lol. Anybody else ever do that?

I'm really glad this came today and I could sign up. On Friday I tried to go and donate platelets but got a deferral, found out I can't for a year. Since this will most likely take time, by the time I match my deferral should be over. TMI, maybe. Just that my homeless sister came to stay with my family a few months ago, and she's in Hep-C remission for 5 years. Have to wait until a year after she moved out before I can donate, which sucks. I love to give what I can.

Anyway, joining the sub and joining the registry today!
