Just wanting to share my happiness with you guys, like man, I can't believe it, it feels like it was yesterday when I was just 13 years old and was ultra disappointed because Bayonetta 2 would be a Wii U exclusive (was disappointed but not mad, Nintendo saved Bayo). I played the original game back when it released in 2009, shit I loved it so much that I even got all the achievements on X360, I replayed it so many times over the years on X360 and PC, hoping that one day I would play the second one, and I did!
Got myself a Switch near the end of September with some games, but I decided to spare Bayonetta 2 for when I took some days off so I could enjoy the game more. Man, I loved it, the combat feels much more polished, the ability to equip the same weapon on both slots was an awesome addition, the action sequences and boss battles are probably the most insane shit I've ever seen on a game(quite impressive that the Wii U could handle the game). I really can't wait to see how PlatinumGames will evolve the series and push the limits of the Switch with Bayonetta 3.
With all that said, I still prefer 1 over 2, not because of combat but because of story. For me Bayonetta 1 had a more interesting villain and twist to the story than 2 (and was longer), sure all the Rosa and Balder stuff was epic but the rest, meh. Also a nitpick, I was annoyed again because of the boss recycling, it's the same issue 1 had, and it's even worse when bosses from 1 shows up, it was probably due to the limited budget since Platinum wasn't doing that great at time.
But yeah guys, I loved Bayonetta 2 and I really really hope that 3 comes out soon, or least during the Switch's lifespan, I'm joining the hype train :D
EDIT: Forgot to mention that my favorite Chapter is the Prologue, I loved The Clock Tower but this is just so much better, batshit crazy, totally sets the mood for the game and the soundtrack is pure fire!
