I've been playing for a little bit (about 3/4 hours or so) and I'm having a lot of fun, but I noticed the steam reviews saying how the difficulty is a bit much. To be specific " The unbalanced difficulty makes this game boring with either pushover enemies in some missions or being greatly outnumbered in others. The maps are so generic and unforgettable and all the pilot abilities and mech weapons are pretty boring to use. "I don't really give a shit about maps tbh but I can definitely see the difficulty being an issue, especially with the whole debt thing putting you in a chokehold. Is there anything that rectifies these issues, (mods and stuff) I saw something called BEX and am considering it but idk if it'll require a restart or not. Still doing the campaign before going to career.
I got the game for mega cheap so luckily it's not too big a deal if it ends up breaking me but I like the general idea behind the game, especially as it has mechs and I wanna have as much fun as I can without being btfo'd by the mechanics too hard. Especially if mech damage can just lead to a game over early game. (as in you're down a mech or it's too broken to use atm) and I assume the abilities and weapons is just preference so I'm not bothered by that.
edit: thanks for the info, (and the salvaging idea, it never occurred to me actually sell mechs I salvage lmao) I'll continue with the campaign and leave mods for much later
I would respond individually but I am lazy
