So what exactly is coming next to Firestorm?

I remember a few weeks back it was supposed to get some sort of respawn system.
Is that still coming? I’m also curious to know if the map going forward will receive any more additions/changes?
Because my impression at this point is that they’re taking Firestorm outback to shoot it in between the eyes and leave it for dead like the rest of the game will be when CODMW releases.
The subreddit by the way is currently on fire slaying DICE which is why I’m asking if the mode is DOA.
