Asides from being buggy at times and resetting the progress you make on the tracker despite actually tracking, is this assignment too harsh?

It says kill enemies beyond 50m with this gun when it clearly isn't built for that range unless you single fire, but even then, does it mean headshots? I've gotten some kills beyond 50m and only the headshot kill has counted.

This assignment is just too frustrating for a LMG that has a small magazine and high recoil on top of 600rpm fire rate. Maybe I'll pass on this assignment for now.
