New to battlefield. Where should I purchase these games on pc?

I have a steam account but I’ve been told to not purchase BF 3 or 4 on steam because supposedly you need an EA launcher to launch them.
Any help? What EA launcher should I get and where would I get it? I’m assuming I should just get origin right?
