Let me preface this in saying I was one of the people in favor of some of the legendary nerfs before they happened
There is no reason to swing the nerf sledgehammer so hard. Its supposed to be gradual, because when its not, its really infuriating to the other spectrum of players who didnt feel a nerf was even necessary. If you do it little by little, you wont have to zig zag with the buffs and nerfs (Ghalt comes to mind) and wont anger an entire spectrum of users on the other side. Right now is a time for finesse, especially with a bleeding playerbase like we have.
As someone said in another thread "Even if big changes are warranted, you NEVER want to see things like 25%>3% (holy shit!), 500>2000, or 120>45 in a change log. You want to balance things, not neuter them."
This strikes really true. We need the developers to see this. Its getting really hard to keep defending all the choices GBX has been making lately, and Im getting really turned off towards the game (especially when 30 hours of legendary grinding is flushed down the toilet now that they are worthless).
Edit: It seems like everyone who agrees with the legendary over-nerfs dont even have them and who are at best just guessing 2000 or 3% is a great number and are at worst just trolls who want to watch the world burn.
Please, if you had actually tested the new values in multiple games on multiple guys, you would understand the fuss of all this
