Ambra and "after taking health damage" gear

Just a quick question: since Ambra's heal deals damage to her, would a " x% heal power after taking health damage" automatically provide the amp?
EDIT: It doesn't! Sadly. Tested it with a couple of items that didn't provide any natural healing buffs but did have " x% after health damage".
Health given at level 3 (unlock level for Staff healing) before items: 39 per tick
Health given at level 3 after both items: 39 per tick
Health given at level 3 after base healing power item: 44 per tick
